We are delighted to report that we have now received FINAL approval for our application for £25,000 from the Living Spaces Fund.

This money will be used to create a Nature Reserve in and around the pond in Queen’s Park in 2005.

The pond and the surrounding area are sadly dilapidated, but with some money and attention could be turned into a beautiful picnic area and an invaluable resource for local schoolchildren. It was highlighted as an area needing special attention in a survey of our members. An outline of the project will be on show at the Picnic in the Park on 20th June.
